LSGD – AE/OVERSEER GRADE 1 – FLUID MECHANICS

In this chapter mainly force analysis on a fluid element in motion is studied

Main forces acting on a fluid element are first analysed.
Depending on the consideration of significant forces according to the type of flow, name of different equations of motion are described.
Finally the simplest equation of motion namely the Euler’s equation is mentioned.
Further along the chapter integration of Euler’s equation is performed to get the equation of conservation of energy for an ideal flow along a stream line, namely Bernoulli’s equation.
